EFFLUENT MONITORING

EFFLUENT & DISCHARGE VOLUME MEASUREMENT

USING CONTACTLESS FLOW VELOCITY & DEPTH MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT IN OPEN CHANNELS & MANHOLES

Recently we have seen increased demand form both water companies and the private industrial sector to accurately measure the amount of effluent discharged into sewer systems or treatment process volumes within water company treatment works.

Thanks to a partnership arrangement with Flowline Systems Ltd our site crews undertake equipment installation services on a nationwide basis using Flow-Tronic supplied contactless measurement devices and control panel units.

FLOWLINE SYSTEMS

The Raven-Eye is an advanced, non-contact RADAR flow meter channel flow measurements. It uses non-contact radar technology to measure the flow from above the channel and is suitable for most open channel flow measurements such as sewer flow measurements, culvert flow measurements, flow to sewage treatment works, discharge consent metering and final effluent flows.

A chemical production company in the North West of England recently upgraded its current measurement apparatus to a new RAVEN-EYE 2 and IFQ control system. PES were delighted to install and commission the system on site for our colleagues at Flowline systems.

The site works included the de-commissioning and removal of the old system, installation of the new mounting brackets within the manhole to accommodate the new Raven eye unit & level sensor, installing a new control cabinet containing an IFQ control panel, wiring up the system and programming the units with the site parameters then finally testing the data was correct on site.
